Ballaarat Quilters are excited to present an exhibition of unique miniature quilts at the Mercure Ballarat. Textile artist Suzanne Lyle is curating the ‘Creative Threads Entwined’ exhibition.
Miniature quilts are small, highly detailed quilts that are created using a range of quilting techniques. The small size of miniature quilts means that they require a high level of skill and precision to create. Quilters work with small pieces of fabric and create intricate designs that are proportional to the quilt’s small size. Many miniature quilts feature traditional quilt patterns, but some quilters create their own designs or incorporate new techniques into their work.
Quilts will be on display from 17th April to 14th May, 2023 at the Mercure Ballarat, 613 Main Road, Golden Point, 3350.
We look forward to seeing you there.
