As part of celebrations for our 20th birthday, Ballaarat Quilters Inc. are joining with Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka [M.A.D.E.] in a quilters challenge and subsequent exhibition.
The theme for the challenge is Songs of freedom; celebrating democracy.

A fun day was held last Saturday as Dale led us in making around the world scrappy blocks for charity quilts. It was amazing to watch the changing patterns created as new blocks were added to the floor in the centre of the room. Next sit and sew will continue to make more blocks and it looks like we will get 2 -3 good sized quilts to support our community.
